Albion truly are a one of kind business. On my search for a new wheelchair I made contact with several companies.
At this point I didn’t realise what I needed was a custom built chair and other companies were happy go along with my naivety for a sale. Telling me how they could do me better deals and they don’t do motability because there’s too much hassle for little reward. There was no individual experience, just a sale.
When I contacted Albion, the experience couldn’t be more different. The full team have been nothing short of wonderful. Nothing is a problem and they truly care. I’m not very good at speaking up for what I need. This didn’t matter. Mhairi was able to really see what I needed and didn’t want me to settle for anything that wasn’t perfect for my needs.
It’s clear not all powered chairs are created equally. My old chair may have allowed me to get about but it was just as painful as standing for me. I had to spend so much time in bed because of pain. The chair that Mhairi designed for me has given me full independence and a life. It wasn’t what I thought I wanted and I’m so glad she made me see what I needed because my chair couldn’t be more perfect. I’m in my bed so much less, I can be around others without struggling with my pain. It adjusts in every way I could possibly need and has given me a new lease of life.
Most importantly my dog loves it too! We can go out walks together again for longer than rushed 20 mins, no longer stressing about my pain levels instead I can stay out almost an hour.
I just wish I had done it all sooner! Im now living not just surviving and it’s all thanks to Albion. If you feel you need a little help and would benefit from a chair or scooter, please see Albion! The lovely girls in the office keep you up to date on everything and make sure you’re getting on ok.
