E-motion DuoDrive

The E-motion DuoDrive allows you to cover long distances using the new cruise control function so you don’t have to expend energy pushing on the handrims all you have to do is steer. This new system really does help you to get the most from each day. You can switch between two types of drive so you still get the physical activity (with reduced strain) but when you need to rest the cruise control is there to help which is controlled use the DuoDrive ‘lolly pop’ wireless control unit.

The wireless control is docked onto frame in an easily accessible position. The sensitivity of the wheels can be independently adjusted using the e-motion mobility App to suit you and you can use the app to select four preset driving profiles depending on what you’re up to. The cruise mode plus the roll back delay make life so much easier. There is also an ECS remote if you prefer and this can also be mounted on your wheelchair frame.

The DuoDrive really shows its benefits on an uphill or over long distances and it can even help you to slow your chair down on a downward slope. Lithium batteries reduce the weight and increase the range so it can really keep you going for the whole day. Charging is simple too; the on off button is also the charging point which is magnetic so users with limited hand function can manage with so problem. The quick release system and jack up anti tippers allow you to easily transport the system. The wheels weight 7.8kg each similar to a manual wheelchair’s weight. Your manual wheels can be easily interchanged to allow full manual use.

The E-motion DuoDrive is compatible with most manual wheelchairs. However unfortunately it is not possible to upgrade the existing E-motion M25 to include the cruise control function.
