COVID-19 OMICRON variant update
Team Albion have been briefed on the symptoms of the virus and are aware of the self-isolation rules should they become unwell; or if they come into contact with someone who is unwell. We are now completing daily lateral flow tests for everyone’s protection. Please be conscious that due to virulent nature of the omicron strain we may need to make changes to appointments at short notice.
We will continue to confirm on the morning of appointments that clients do not show signs of the virus and they have not been in contact in anyone who may be infected. If any of the known symptoms are reported appointments will be rescheduled until the client can report a negative test result. If the client cannot be contacted by 9:30am on the day of their appointment it will be rescheduled; please make sure we have your most up to date contact information.
At appointments we must limit contact. For repairs we ask if possible leave your product in an easily accessible safe place, so that our Technician can work on your chair without risk to either you or himself. For assessments we will practice social distancing as much as possible. For everyone’s safety our team have full PPE equipment and all equipment will be disinfected for you.
From a supply line point of view we have been advised there will continue to be delays as a result of the virus.

As a result of the global pandemic we are currently experiencing extended lead times for new products and spares.
Unfortunately some items are taking in excess of 8 weeks to come into stock; wherever possible we will attempt to improve on a long lead time or try to find an alternative solution for you. Unfortunately we are beholden to our suppliers and can only do so much. We’re sorry for any delays you may experience/be experiencing right now.
There is a shortage of mobility scooter stock nationwide, wherever possible we will steer you to products which are in stock or that we know to have reasonable lead times.
Motability customers who select a class 3 mobility vehicle (over 113.5kg in weight or can travel faster than 4mphs) will also have to wait for the DVLA registrations. DVLA are experiencing delays as a result of social distancing rules. Registrations have been taking roughly 3-4 weeks.
Our suppliers are having difficulty sourcing some parts right now and this is in some cases doubling lead times, in the worst case scenarios it is taking months to get parts. Again we’re sorry we can’t influence/improve the lead times.
